assignment 5

The group founded by Mel and Norma Gabler has had a greater impact on the textbook adoption policy than any other. Although the founders are now dead, the group they founded is still flourishing. Discuss at least one good and one bad aspect of the work that the Gablers have done through the years.

After reading this book, i personally thought what they did actually helped the "textbook adoption policy". The one good thing that they did was they expanded the idea for the textbook adoption policy, how everything should be taught equally and textbook shouldn't leave anything. On the other hand, the one bad aspect is that ever since, their 'foundation" got bigger, by saying, their thoughts are always right, they began to force people's opinion and how the school should teach their ways. Milton wouldn't have like this way because he agrees that tyranny of majority shouldn't exist.
